Serves 2
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Way to cook:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Add the shrimp and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Place shrimp in a single layer in the pan, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side or until pink and cooked through. Pour any remaining marinade over the shrimp and let it cook for another minute until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Garnish with red pepper flakes, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
